There's No Place Like Home

So what is with my kids and hospitals?

I hate them and yet I keep ending up at one more than I would like. (Don't get me wrong: I am very grateful for modern medicine and am grateful that I do not have to give birth in a bathtub or etc., but I love to steer clear of them as much as possible. I was able to do this for about 16 years until I had children.)
I had Kylee=hospital, Kylee feveral seizure=hospital, I had Kade=hospital, and now Kade is sick=trip to hospital again.

This little rendezvous trip was not planned. We went to the doctor this morning because Kade has had a 102 to 103 fever since yesterday morning. Once we arrived at our appointment they sent us to the Emergency Room to run tests. Thankfully all the tests have turned out negative so it is looking just like a viral infection. I am glad for all the precautions they take when children are this young, but it does seem like a little overkill when you are going to be stuck at the hospital overnight. Oh yeah! Keeping fingers crossed that Kade's fever will be gone by tomorrow so we can go back home. (So much for our Bear Lake family reunion trip scheduled this weekend. The odds must really be against us because Kade and I did not go to the last one either that was two weeks ago.)

Poor little man! There must just be something about Bear Lake, I remember Kylee getting a really bad fever there over Christmas Break too. Sorry you did not get to go. Hope he is better, oh and yay for pacifiers!
