Grand Opening: Baby's Room

During my week off of work I began nesting extravaganza! Kurt complained about never seeing so much hot glue, fabric, bows, and pink in his life. He knew I liked being crafty, but he had no clue how crafty crazy I could get with being pregnant.
These containers used to be just clear plastic containers before I used some stuffing and fabric. Thanks to some super glue, they now hold hairbands, bows, and socks.
Kurt's study room - pretty in pink.
Things are finally starting to feel complete and ready in the baby's room now, other than the fact Kurt still is trying to reside in as much space as possible with his desk. I am a mean wife and am kicking him out after he takes his boards in August. The nice thing, there is plenty of room for his study area in the living room like he had before in our old apartment.

Birdies on a Branch

So for one of my presents from the baby shower I received some really cute birds to decorate the baby's room with from Brooke. I tried to explain what the finished project would look like, but I didn't do so well.
After hunting for the perfect branch, (thank you Dora Kelly Park,) hanging it, and then placing the birds, this is how cute it turned out.
I also found out how useful hot glue can be. We used it to glue the branch to the wall in two spots to help balance the branch. My pictures are not the best in doing justice on how cute this actually turned out. Blame it on the photographer (me), or the camera.

37 Week Exercise

Can you already tell that I am starting to get a little ansy about having this baby come? If riding doesn't speed up the process, I don't know what will. I actually haven't ridden since I was eight months along, but I had a lesson that was cancelled so I figured I might as well take a picture while I had Larry saddled.

Baby Shower - Take Two - Ward Girls + Kacie

Since they know that I don't like being the center of attention, Brooke and Emily planned a shower for me the past weekend. Being the center of attention once was just not enough :).Everyone looks so cute
Left to right: Adele, Joan, Emily, Britni, Brooke, and JanieThe cutest baby cake ever! Looks professional doesn't it? (Thank you Deanna Turner)
Emily (President/"Hostess" of the guilty party planners)
Left to right: Janie, Britni, and Brooke - (Co-chair of the guilty party planners)I hope using these presents are as exciting as getting them, probably not
One of my best friends from high school and college, Kacie and her daughter McKinley
My Goal: To look this cute at least once a week after having my daughter
(Realistic goal: maybe once a month - and it will probably be the baby that is better dressed than me)

I really appreciate all of the time and preparation that Brooke and Emily put into this shower. Thank you again everyone for making the time to come. It was great having everyone together and just having a good old "girlie" chat with no guys around. Kylee* or Alexis, (haven't won that battle with Kurt quite yet) will appreciate all the exciting and cute gifts as well.

P.S. (Sorry for so many pictures. I just liked them all and couldn't decide what to leave out.)

Baby Shower - Take One - Stable

Two weeks ago, the stable I work and ride at were very kind to throw a barbeque and baby shower for me. It was great seeing so much support from everyone.
I greatly dislike being the center of attention

Unwrapping more presents
Tina and I (she takes English riding lessons)
I survived being the center of attention and I even managed to drag Kurt out to the stable for the second time since we have moved here. I had to prove that there was a daddy. (Several parents thought that I had gotten knocked up.) That is what happens when you don't wear your wedding ring, I guess :).
