Great Falls

Last Monday Kylee and I got together with some friends (Kristen and Rachel) for a nice day at Great Falls. It was beautiful weather, colorful leaves, and the sound of rushing water.

These are the days that I cannot come up with one complaint about being a mom. And I know if I did, Kurt (including others), would probably want to shoot me. :)

Poop, poop, and more....POOP!!

So just in case you are having a bad day or have one in the future, here is something for you to read to at least give you a smile. Keep in mind that I am not complaining; I remember that I signed up for this:

Well, I was walking a blue healer on Saturday and around here you have to clean up your pet's waste. Otherwise, you can be slapped with one large fine. So anyways...I was carrying a little bag with me and the dog did its business. Not so bad, kind of warm, squishy and gross, but I picked it up and carried it to the nearest garbage can. Earlier that day I was wondering how many times this dog pooped in a day, by the way. I ended up getting my answer in an unwelcoming way. The dog decided to take an even larger dump on someone's front lawn. No bags, but one large stinky pile of crap. Joy! So I ended up finding the largest leaves available and wrapping the poop in that. Any additional leaves on the way were grabbed and added to help keep the poop from dripping (yeah, nasty poop). Then the dog went again!!! In someone else's front lawn! I was bent over with my hand under the dogs bum trying to catch the stuff before it came out with more leaves, but I didn't get it all, so some got rubbed into the lawn with my foot. (Hope no one saw). So I had the great opportunity of carrying a pile of crappy (literally) leaves with poop oozing out the rest of the way to the dog's house. Anyone that drove by smiled and laughed. Oh the fun that was. Kurt got a good laugh out of that and said only his wife would be caught squatting by a dog with her hand catching the poop.

Well, there you have it - details and all.

Family Pics

An early Christmas gift encouraged us to get some family pictures taken while the fall leaves are still changing.

This is the picture we decided to use for our Christmas present (framed painted picture)

This is probably bad, but I think this picture is hilarious. If only it was a different finger that Kylee was pointing.

P.S. Thanks again Ryan for taking the time out of your schedule to take some great pictures.

Walk A Dog

So I was trying to decide a month ago what kind of job I was going to do now that I have Kylee. I wanted to be able to stay at home and take care of her, but we also needed money to pay rent. After some thought I decided why not start my own business?

Presenting Walk-A-Dog Pet Services located in Alexandria, VA. I made a website: www.walkadogtoday.com and already have an assistant - Kylee. :) Things are going well and I am enjoying it so far. I will admit that we are a little nervous for the cold months of January - March. Thank goodness I am not doing this in Idaho though. Kylee would become an icicle.

4 Months Old

Kylee is now four months old! She is loving life and trying out her new talents. She rolls over in her crib and is starting to roll on the floor. She loves to stand and looks around with a little help.

Her exersaucer is one of her new favorite toys.

Kylee doing her favorite past time - sucking her hand and fingers. Hope we don't have a thumb sucker on our hands.

Happy Halloween...

Two weeks ago. Sorry, I have gotten a little behind. Here are some cute pictures of Kylee in her tiger costume. The best part of her costume is her new talent of growling. Fits her costume perfect!

We had a great time going to our ward's Trunk-or-Treat and then having a small party with friends and their children.

Girl's Night Out - Donuts

Last Thursday several of us decided to get together and make some treats for ourselves (and I guess our husbands too). :)

We ended up making spud donuts and they turned out pretty well.

I got the recipe off another friend's blog and was a bit worried how they would turn out when I saw the words: "kneeding, and rising" in the recipe. These are a few things that I am not so good at, but it turned out pretty delicious in the end.

P.S. (For Rachel) - Brandie and I saw a truck out in front of the Olive Garden that sold homemade frozen yogurt. That is yours' and Ryan's destiny. You are going to drive a van that sells homemade ice cream and donuts. Maybe Liam will even take over the family business. :)
