Playing at the Park

Kylee and I have not visited any parks for a little while so I decided to take her to Pit Park. She loved it!
Of course, what kid would not love playing with tons of different toys and running around with other kids.
It was cute watching her trying to figure out how to get this fire engine to go all over the park.
It was her favorite toy to play with while we were there. When we left, tears came streaming down the face when she realized it would not be coming home with us.
Sorry Kylee, we will visit the park more often.

How Much Adventure Can I Handle in One Week?

I am hanging on a thread right now with all of my adventures and it's only Wednesday. Oh boy. I am hoping this week and weekend does not bring about too much more.

Why has this week been so interesting?
It would be thanks to these companies who have towed my car twice now just this week: Monday and today. The best part is with all the cars they tow, you think they would have a pretty nice setup. Nope, the towing places are always out in the middle of nowhere and they always have little trailers where they look like they are on their last leg and you have to stand outside and talk to someone through this little tiny window.

Anyways I was towed on Monday because I parked in our Car Wash parking area and did not remove my car before 9:00 AM. (That was my fault.) I had set an alarm to remind me, but it never went off since my phone was on silent. I went outside literally 5 minutes after they towed me. One of our neighbors had ran around the corner when I went outside to tell me he just saw my car go by. (This is the same neighbor who just moved here on the day that I locked Kylee in the car. He still remembers that too.) Thankfully our neighbor who lives above us was home and took me to pick up my car.

Then today our car was towed AGAIN during a dog walk this evening. We went to the client's apartment to pick up the visitor parking pass and her dog. When Kylee and I returned to the parking garage our car was nowhere to be seen. Bonus, my keys were in the gas tank along with my purse and cell phone in the locked car. Thankfully a random driver stopped when I flagged her down. She let me borrow her cell phone so I could locate my car from the towing company. After that, Kylee and I walked down to a friend's that lives in the Alexander. We had to ask the front desk for her apartment number since I did not have it memorized or my phone to call her directly. We lucked out to catch her before she left to run errands. I was almost not allowed to take my car from the towing company since only my husband's name is on the car's registration. Thank you insurance card which has both of our names.

What is my tally so far for the past year? I am going for a total of 3 towings and 1 locksmith visit. Total of $445.00 that has gone to almost absolutely nothing. (Kurt has 1 ticket and 1 parking ticket to his name. Providing this information makes me feel just a smidge better about myself.) So I am keeping my fingers crossed that I do not get a parking ticket or towed again the rest of the time we live here. (Thankfully this should only be until May.) Man, I have way too many blond moments.

Rain Rain Go Away, Come Again Another Day

Even though Kylee and I were caught in the rain three times today while we were out doing our dog walks, we actually did not mind getting wet.
Kylee was able to test out her rain coat and rain boots for the first time. Before we had even gone outside in the rain, Kylee kept pointing to her boots and was very excited that she was wearing them.
She enjoyed splashing in puddles, but would cry anytime that she fell in the mud. (Typical girl) I thought if Kylee fell it would be butt first. Oh no, not with this child. She dove face first into a big muddy puddle. Afterward she was crying and I was busting up with laughter. I have a lot of scrubbing ahead of me-both her and her clothes.

Who Woke Up on the Wrong Side of the Crib?

Someone has some serious bedhead going on!

Kylee woke up from her nap pretty grumpy and it only got worse once Kurt returned with a camera to take her picture.

Crafty Moment

Yep, I am a dork. I was very excited when this little adventure actually turned out pretty cute. At a baby shower I attended two weeks ago the hostess gave out these cute little stickers, "I am a child of God" lettering, to put somewhere or on something for our children. After some thinking I decided to place it on a canvas. What started out as just a painted canvas turned into a little decoration to hang on the wall.

I have also now officially ran out of space in Kylee's room to place anything else. Looks like I need to start having more kids to have rooms to place more crafty things. (I am not hinting at anything. I still have not forgotten what I went through to have this little squeak quite yet.)

Kurt's Dream Come True

The only thing that could make Kurt more excited would be Kylee sitting on a dirt bike or snowmobile.

Kurt often looks into Kylee's mouth to see how her teeth are doing and if any new ones are coming in. She decided it was finally her turn to do some inspection of her dad's teeth this time.

What did she find? That Kurt needed to get that piece of broccoli out from between his teeth. Ew!

Apple Orchard

How many apples can I eat in a day? Five. How many apples can Kylee help eat in a day? Three.
Our ward had an activity at Homestead Farms in Poolesville, MD over the weekend.
There were many fresh apples and tomatoes to pick and farm animals to pet. We made sure to enjoy all of these opportunities.
This was Kylee’s and my first time ever picking and eating apples straight from the tree.
(I think that is why we may have gotten a little too carried away with eating so many the first day.)
