Horsin' Around

Last week Kylee and I visited the stables. A friend was willing to come out and watch Kylee for a bit so I was able to ride. It was great, but I was sore for two days afterwards. I don't have my riding legs back quite yet.

She helped me muck out stalls in the baby bjorn and refill waters. The great thing about her help, she doesn't complain about the horsey smell. :) (Her dad always complains about how I smell or the car smells after I have been out to the stable.)

Kylee was able to get up close and personal with a couple of the horses. (This one is Cass)

Feeding Annie a carrot

I am definitely hoping with such early initiation, that Kylee will fall hopelessly in love with horses like her mom. Ha, ha...her dad will have to buy more horses then. :)

3 Months Old

Yeah! Kylee is getting so old. Okay, I know that she is really not that old, but she is growing up and doing more things now. It is also nice that she doesn't seem as fragile now.

This would not win the "cutest baby award," but it is one of the many funny faces of Kylee

I am so grateful for daddy/daughter time. Gives me a break and prepares me for the rest of the day.

Has no shame in looking pretty for the camera

Kylee loves to babble and share her opinion with anything that is willing or not willing to listen to her. She has made church a little more interesting now that she likes to announce her arrival and make sure everyone sitting in a 10 ft. radius knows she is still awake.

Still loves her walks with her mom, but she is starting to get a little too heavy for long walks

Kylee can be a great help in the kitchen, when I can keep her feet out of the food and off the hot cookie sheets

She is now swatting and starting to grab at things and dreams of the day that she will be able to get somewhere. She can roll a little with an extra push and pull here and there.

Nap Time

So Kurt decided to be sneaky and take some pictures when Kylee and I fell asleep on the couch. He wasn't sneaky enough to catch Kylee offguard at first though.

This is a preview of what Kylee might be wearing on Halloween. Kurt didn't want me to put it on here yet, but I think she looks hilarious.

Blessing Day

Kylee in her blessing dress

On Sunday, 20th, Kylee was blessed by her father. He gave a short and sweet blessing. Amazingly Kylee did well (no crying or pooping on the dress). Thank you to everyone that came; it was great seeing so much support.
P.S. (Compliments were given to Marques for his pink shirt and tie and to Ben for his three-piece suit)

2 Months Old

It is crazy to think that Kurt and I have now been parents for two months. (I know, everyone says that, but it is true.) Kylee is doing well and loves attention from anyone and everyone. She smiles and likes to carry on conversations with anyone that will listen, including her toy caterpillar on her carseat.

Kylee's feelings about her 2 month Dr. appointment that is tomorrow: there are 3 vaccinations involved. I am not so sure if I am very excited either (it's early in the morning to beat the crowd)

Pimpin' it Up

Pretty in Pink - her toenails are even painted pink (That's what happens with your first girl when you get a little bored) :)

We love our little girl to death (the answer might change though depending on what time you ask), and are looking forward to watching her further grow and develop.

Labor Day Vacation

So this upcoming semester is going to be pretty crazy and busy for Kurt. We wanted to take advantage of his last weekend before tests start coming. We originally planned to visit Harper's Ferry, West Virginia, but at the last minute (3 days before) we decided to go the Kitty Hawk, North Carolina. Thanks to our friend, Rachel, we were able to stay in a nice beach house with two other families for 3 days.

Mary, Miles, Kylee and I on the ferry to Ocracoke (It was our first ferry ride and it was pretty fun)

Dallas brought a skim board and everyone tried it out

I loved our trip and plan to go next year when Kylee will be a year old.

Site Seeing

This last week one of my best friends, Hayley, from Rexburg, Idaho came out to visit us. She has been on a mission so this was the first opportunity to see her in two years. Kylee and I had a blast site seeing with her, even though Kylee was asleep for most of it. We both hope to see Hayley again real soon, maybe even for three months if she comes out here for an internship. (;) hint hint)

Museum of Natural History

Great Falls - I had all the hardwork, Kylee slept the whole time.

Hayley and Kurt's cousin, Brad. Thank you Brad again for being such a great tour guide.

We were told Kylee is now the youngest person to take a picture in this. I don't think she was too thrilled about that though.
