Crafty Moment

Yep, I am a dork. I was very excited when this little adventure actually turned out pretty cute. At a baby shower I attended two weeks ago the hostess gave out these cute little stickers, "I am a child of God" lettering, to put somewhere or on something for our children. After some thinking I decided to place it on a canvas. What started out as just a painted canvas turned into a little decoration to hang on the wall.

I have also now officially ran out of space in Kylee's room to place anything else. Looks like I need to start having more kids to have rooms to place more crafty things. (I am not hinting at anything. I still have not forgotten what I went through to have this little squeak quite yet.)

Kurt's Dream Come True

The only thing that could make Kurt more excited would be Kylee sitting on a dirt bike or snowmobile.

Kurt often looks into Kylee's mouth to see how her teeth are doing and if any new ones are coming in. She decided it was finally her turn to do some inspection of her dad's teeth this time.

What did she find? That Kurt needed to get that piece of broccoli out from between his teeth. Ew!

Apple Orchard

How many apples can I eat in a day? Five. How many apples can Kylee help eat in a day? Three.
Our ward had an activity at Homestead Farms in Poolesville, MD over the weekend.
There were many fresh apples and tomatoes to pick and farm animals to pet. We made sure to enjoy all of these opportunities.
This was Kylee’s and my first time ever picking and eating apples straight from the tree.
(I think that is why we may have gotten a little too carried away with eating so many the first day.)

Kylee's View

Bird's eye view from Kylee:
-Tree
-Leaf
-Dog
-Mom's head
-Mom's back
-Dog bum
-Leaf
-Tree

These are the main things Kylee sees or points to during out afternoon walks. This girl is still obsessed with leaves, trees, and bushes. Whenever we pass a bush or tree she will point to it and want a leaf to carry from the tree or bush.

How to Catch a Kylee

Step 1: Place an unknown object in Kylee's view

Step 2: Make it look as appealing as possible

Step 3: Show no interest in Kylee and secretly watch what is about to unfold out of the corner of your eye

Step 4: Laugh your head off when you have caught Kylee and take many pictures to embarrass her with in the future.

Doggy Kisses

Since Kylee's life revolves around dogs, not by her choice, you have to expect to see some pictures here and there of her with them. (I know, there were already some pictures about two posts ago. Oh well, here are some more.)I am sure as you can guess this is one of the dogs that we walk daily. His name is Snoopy and surprisingly he is one of the dogs currently that gives Kylee a run for her money. He can get so exuberant at times and has a hard time controlling himself. He is really sweet, just a little overwhelming at times for Kylee. He will do anything in order to give Kylee an unlimited supply of kisses. Once he gets going, he is hard to stop. (The gross part, some of the kisses end up being french kisses if Kylee opens her mouth to cry.) The look on her face the first time this happened was priceless. If only I had a camera for it.
Minus the overwhelming kisses, Kylee loves to chase and play fetch with Snoopy. She will throw his ball and then steal it back from him if he does not return it to her.

Mini Chicken

Why am I blogging about this? I have no idea. I am not a big fan of chickens. They smell, poop a lot, have beady eyes, pointy beaks, long claws, and are very loud when roosters crow. For some reason though, I loved this cute little guy!
I did not even know such things existed. This little guy was randomly dropped off at the stable I work at on Saturdays. He is less than half the size of all the normal chickens and roosters, but what he lacks in size he makes up with attitude. He was kicking all the other rooster's butts.
I even thought about bringing him home and having an apartment porch rooster mascot. But the idea died quickly when I realized I would have to clean its poop and deal with it crowing. I am sure Kurt is glad for that one.

(P.S. Brooke C., You should get one of these so that you can take care of it and then I can pet it and play with it.)
